Reviving Indigenous Seeds. Restoring Community Power.

Our Seed Projects protect agrobiodiversity, empower farmers, and strengthen food sovereignty by uniting science, tradition, and community action.

What Are Seed Projects?

Seed Projects are locally rooted initiatives that conserve, regenerate, and promote native, heirloom, and climate-resilient seed varieties. We work directly with farmers, elders, and seed custodians to build living seed systems from seed banks to field trials.

Key Projects We’re Growing

Community Seed Banks

We support the establishment and operation of local seed banks that store and multiply native seeds, ensuring free access and availability for farmers across seasons.

Seed Multiplication Plots

In collaboration with trained farmers, we grow foundation plots of indigenous crops to produce clean, viable seeds adapted to local climates.

Seed Fairs & Exchanges

Our community seed fairs celebrate seed culture, allowing farmers to exchange traditional seeds, share stories, and pass on knowledge.

Participatory Plant Breeding

Farmers are co-researchers in our breeding programs. Together, we select and adapt seeds that respond to climate change, soil stress, and nutrition needs.

Women Seed Keepers Circles

We support women-led seed groups that conserve and distribute household seed varieties, while reviving food heritage and local food security.
